Ram Charan expresses desire for Rajamouli to direct Marvel movies, plans big celebration if it happens
Ram Charan, the star of the period epic action film “RRR”, has expressed his desire to see director SS Rajamouli direct a Marvel Studios movie. Charan, who is currently promoting “RRR” in the United States, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of Rajamouli directing a Marvel film. Charan responded by saying, “Wow. We are going to host you a big party if that happens. She is one of the first people to say this and fingers crossed, I really hope that happens. It is for my director.”
Charan also spoke about his aspirations to be a part of every franchise and film that appreciates art in cinema. He expressed his belief that cinema is becoming global and he is fortunate to be a part of it.
“RRR” is a pre-Independence fictional story about two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, set in the 1920s. The film stars Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran. It is the first Indian film in over two decades to be nominated for the Academy Awards, with its Telugu track “Naatu Naatu” nominated in the Original Song category. The song has already won a Golden Globe, making it the first Indian song to do so.
Charan is currently in the United States along with Rajamouli, composer MM Keeravani, and co-star Jr NTR to promote “RRR”. In another interview, Charan discussed his father, Chiranjeevi’s reaction to the Oscar nomination for “RRR”. Chiranjeevi had previously attended the Oscars in the 80s for an appearance, and Charan described the current nomination as an emotional moment for all of them.
At the upcoming Oscars ceremony on March 12th in Los Angeles, “Naatu Naatu” singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava are set to perform the song.
